  • 200gms Shortcrust pastry
  • 3 Tbsps Toffee Sauce + for Drizzling

How to make mary berry apple sponge with toffee sauce

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C. Cut the red Washington Apples into quarters. Then, slice each quarter into 3-4 pieces. Transfer to a bowl.
  • Cut the green Washington Apples into quarters. Then, slice each quarter into 3-4 slices. Transfer to another bowl.
  • Mix well.
  • The shortcrust pastry should be rolled into a 1 cm thick sheet.
  • Place the red and green apples coated with toffee on a lined tray. Drizzle some toffee sauce over the top.
  • Bake the tray in the oven for 25-30 minutes. Take the tray out of the oven and remove it from the pan.
  • Slice into small pieces and heat.
