  • Heat oven to 300F (148C). Heat heavy cream and milk until they are combined. Mix in the chocolate, and stir until smooth. Let cool. Mix the egg yolks, sugar, and vanilla.
  • Slowly whisk in the chocolate mixture. After this, Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer. Transfer the mixture to a Pyrex pitcher and pour into (5) 1/2 cups (4 0z/120ml) of ramekins. Now Place the ramekins on a baking pan and bake in the oven.
  • Heat water in a large saucepan until the water reaches halfway up the ramekins. Now Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until the custards have set. Serve with homemade whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
