Basic Ingredients for chocolate cornflake cakes

  • 3 cups cornflakes 50g butter
  • 1/4 cup golden syrup
  • 2 tbsp granulated Sugar
  • 1 tbsp cocoa butter

How to make chocolate cornflake cakes

  • Add the butter and golden syrup to a bowl. Then heat it in the microwave. Once it has melted, place the bowl in the refrigerator to cool.
  • Mix in the cocoa powder, granulated sugar, and stir it all together.
  • Now add the golden syrup and melted butter to the mixture. Mix well. Cornflakes should be covered with syrup so it sticks together.
  • If the syrup is too thick or sticky, you can add more crushed cornflakes to make the chocolate Hedgehogs set properly. Once the mixture has been whipped up, scoop it out with an ice cream scoop. Then use a spoon to flatten the mixture.
  • Flip the mixture onto a plate lined with baking paper.
  • Once you have prepared all of the chocolate Hedgehogs, place them in the refrigerator and let them sit for between 30 minutes and an hour. Serve it plain or with warm custard. Enjoy!
