recipe for millionaires shortbread

Millionaire’s Shortbread has the perfect trio: A sweet, simple, crunchy shortbread, thick dark chocolate ganache, and a rich, chewy, homemade caramel.

I don’t believe (and they’ll correct you if I’m mistaken) that I have ever given my siblings anything poor food.

They will sometimes eat my recipe failures. But they only eat the best ones. Cupcakes that are slightly too dense or cookies that are a little too crumbly. I have never done anything quite so treacherous like trying to substitute bean brownies with regular brownies. This was something that one of my sisters did to me once (a deception that I will never forgive).

It’s a bit insulting that they are hesitant to eat any dessert other than a cookie, cake, or cupcake. They hover nervously with their forks over their plates, looking skeptical and suspicious. This could be an anthrax pie. Thank you.

After explaining to my fourth sibling, “It’s like an expensive, homemade, gourmet Twix bar”), not one of them seemed disappointed when they tried their first bite.

Millionaire’s shortbread is a delicious treat that will not be disappointed in. This is a recipe that I have wanted to try for some time and I am very happy to share it after much running around in the kitchen.

It’s rich and delicious. I don’t think it’s necessary to emphasize this fact. I suggested to my brothers and sisters that they cut each huge square into quarters. Although they look great in these photos, the squares are so dense that it can be difficult to eat one whole.

The shortbread (a fake shortbread) is lightly sweetened, but it serves as the crispy vehicle for transporting chewy caramel and a blanket chocolate ganache. It’s topped with sea salt to make it even more delicious. This shortbread isn’t called Millionaire’s shortbread.

It is possible to become a millionaire, and this has also changed the cookie crust of our shortbread. Surprise It’s not a true shortbread. This is the first change I made to this recipe when I tried my hand at a modern spin on it.

Shortbread is a classic recipe that only uses three ingredients: butter, flour, sugar. But Millionaire’s shortbread has more so we want it to live up to its name.

This cookie crust is made with egg yolk, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and is slightly more flavorful than regular shortbread. Your millionaire’s shortbread will be easier to cut than regular shortbread, which can break unevenly and scatter crumbs all over the place. However, it will still taste great beneath the soft chocolate and chewy caramel.

Andi loved the cookie layer so much that she asked me to make a pan of it alone.

I wish I could capture the steps of these multi-step recipes. I would love to see the crumb cookie dough, caramel at their peak before I pour it over the shortbread. But, since I have only two days to photograph 3-4 recipes, there isn’t enough light to take decent photos.

To compensate, I try to give detailed descriptions of the recipes. You can also drop me an email, leave a comment or visit my Facebook Page if there are any questions.

However, I think this recipe will work for you. The trickiest part of the recipe is the caramel. It doesn’t even need a candy thermometer.

For the caramel

After this we will prepare wet ingredients for Caramel, put the saucepan over the gas, and in it, we will put 75g Golden Syrup (or corn syrup) and 25g Caster Sugar.

Add 225g Softened Unsalted Butter and 1 can Condensed Milk (397g). Will melt this mixture for about 20 minutes on low flame and whisk it well with the help of a whisker.

Will put this mixture on the baked shortbread and spread it with the help of a little cranked palette knife. After this, we will put 300g Milk Chocolate chopped in a bowl.

For the Topping

we need our pan Marie we’ve got about an inch of water in this saucepan and on top of the saucepan. we’re gonna put a nice heatproof bowl remember that the water does not touch the bottom of your bowl and now we can add our chocolate.

so in total, I’ve got 300 grams of milk chocolate if you want to go for the dark that’s fine but milk is the way to go for this recipe.

Will melt this milk chocolate with the help of a spatula. After being melted, we will turn off the gas and take out this milk chocolate mixture in a bowl. We will spread this mixture on the shortbread with the help of a little cranked palette knife.

Now our millionaire shortbread is ready if you’ve had your caramel chilling in the fridge it won’t take very long to set and then we can cut it and eat it.
