jamaican ginger cake

Ginger cake has been a favorite of mine since childhood. This is a seasonal cake that is enjoyed in the winter months leading to Christmas. McVitie’s Jamaican ginger cake can be found in supermarkets. It is very popular, and while it tastes good, it is too sweet. This recipe has half the sugar and a stronger ginger flavor. It can be served with cream, custard, or ice cream. This sticky Jamaican ginger cake loaf is a must-try!
