  • 8 boneless, skinless chicken legs
  • 2 tbsp of lemon juice
  • 6 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 1/2 tbs fresh ginger
  • 1 1/2 tbs ground coriander
  • 1 1/2 tbs garam masala
  • 1 tbs vegetable oil Salt To Taste
  • Masala Sauce: 2 tbs plain yogurt
  • 2tbs vegetable oil Salt to Taste
  • 2 tbs oil 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tbs tomato paste
  • 1 tbs tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup canned tomatoes chopped
  • 1 cup fresh cream
  • 1 Tsp Garam masala

How to make chicken tikka masala recipe

  • Place the chicken in a large bowl. Add enough salt and lemon juice to the chicken pieces. Let marinate for 10 minutes in the fridge.
  • In a blender, combine the yogurt, garlic, ginger, garam masala, and chili powder. Blend until smooth. This paste should be added to the bowl with chicken. Mix in the oil.
  • Marinate for at most 30 minutes, or even overnight if you can. Preheat the grill when you are ready. Place the pieces of chicken on skewers. Turn the chicken pieces occasionally and grill for 15-20 to 20 minutes, or until cooked through.

  • Add the lemon juice and cream. Make sure to add enough water to create a thick sauce. Season the sauce with salt. Stir occasionally for 3-4 minutes. If necessary, add more water. Garam masala and coriander leaves (cilantro), can be added. Continue heating. Mix in the grilled chicken. If you wish, garnish with additional coriander leaves.
