  • 50g (1/4 cup) chilled and drained unsalted butter
  • 100ml (5/6 cup) buttermilk

  • First Preheat your oven to 200°C.
  • Now Mix the sugar, flour, and salt in a bowl. Give it a quick stir.
  • Mix the unsalted butter in a chilled, diced container and mix with the dry ingredients.
  • Use your fingertips to rub the butter into the mixture until it looks like breadcrumbs.
  • Now Beat the buttermilk and egg in a separate bowl until well combined.
