- 175g unsalted butter
- 175g caster sugar
- One tsp vanilla extract
- Three medium eggs
- 175g flour
For the buttercream:
- 175g lightly salted butter, softened
- 225g icing sugar
- few drops of pink food coloring
- A few drops of yellow food coloring
- A few drops of lemon essence
- Icing sugar, for dusting
How to make a fairy cake recipe?
In a large bowl, add 175g unsalted butter, 175g caster sugar together until light and fluffy. after this add One tsp vanilla extract, Three medium eggs, 175g flour beat, and fold until combined with a wooden spoon.
Preheat the oven to 180°C.Line a hole cupcake tin with paper cases.
Fill two teaspoons spoon the mixture into the cases. Bake for twenty minutes, or until risen and golden. Cool in the tin for two minutes, lift the cakes onto a wire rack. Meanwhile, make the buttercream: beat the butter and sugar together and divide in half, and color each half as you wish. Flavour the yellow buttercream with a few drops of lemon essence.
Cut the tops off each cake and then cut the top in half to create two halves. Drop spoonfuls of the buttercream onto each cake and push the ‘fairy wings’ in position.
