Evidently, I’ve been on a blueberry-loving craze recently. I am sorry to hear that you are averse to blueberries. But, if dislike blueberries, then I’m not sure if we should be good friends.
Last week, I posted the recipe for a blueberry-peach oatmeal recipe. It’s delicious, and I strongly recommend it. But in the event that your climate is warm and dry (like the weather here in Richmond) I’ve got another alternative to offer those who aren’t. This is the Greek yogurt bowl for breakfast -like the one I posted earlier in the year, but made filled with peaches, fresh blubs muesli, cacao nibs and blubs.
I like having breakfast by eating protein. Greek yogurt bowls are very easy to get started. The bowl is less than 24 grams!
I’ve been enjoying this as breakfast at a minimum once at least twice per week in the last few weeks. I’ve had a variety of combinations but I always come back to this recipe with fresh blueberries and fresh peaches since it’s delicious and ideal for the summer months.
A juicy, ripe peach can be used, but there are donut-shaped peaches inside the kitchen and they’re truly amazing. They’re sweet, juicy and are less fuzzy on the exterior than normal peaches. You should definitely pick up one or two if you can find the fruit at your local supermarket retailer.
Here’s guidelines for making the dish this is what I made in my bowl:
- Fage 22 percent Greek yogurt – 22% full-fat Greek yogurt is so superior to fat-free yogurt and is fuller! I like the thick and creamy texture of Fage’s yogurt. Fage brand.
- Donut peaches — delicious succulent, sweet and delicious!
- Partially frozen blueberries We have plenty of blueberries that are frozen which is why I’ve been using them instead of the fresh. I apply cold water to them in order to allow them to defrost and then throw them in the yogurt. I enjoy the frozen texture as well as the added chill they bring into the yogurt bowl.
- Purely Elizabeth Mango Almond Old Grain Muesli The Purely Elizabeth mango almond ancient grain muesliI am awestruck by everything that is this Purely Elizabeth brand. Their Muesli and cereal items are among my top new favorites.
- Cacao nibs — must be a bit bite (and chocolaty)!
This combination is amazing however feel at ease to create it as yourself and add the toppings you’ve got in your kitchen. In general, I prefer adding some ground flax or chia and a bit of peanut butter to top it off. More toppings, the more delicious! See more recipes
